If you're looking for a freelance writer, one really creative, then you've come to the right place. Perhaps you already know what you're looking for though... maybe it's a certain style. Or perhaps it's a particular 'wittiness' you seek, a perceptiveness. Human events are the ingredients which makeup the essence of civilization, we all know, and since the peculiarities of man are often metaphysical, they become dimensional... perfectly suited for A.O. The Wonderful World of Creative Writing (an A.O. Kime commentary)Experiencing freedom in its many possible forms is a great delight and so is the freedom felt from creative writing. Many people have exclusive freedoms however, like a pilot would have, a trucker or cook. With creative writing comes peace-of-mind too, that which everyone seeks… adults anyway. Peace-of-mind can come from many activities however, like from fishing or working a crossword puzzle. While we all cherish such things, and would never willingly part with our favorites... creative writers are no exception. Forced to be a writer other than a creative writer would be like a death sentence for most creative writers. It is the freedom to let your spiritual soul speak and to deliver text as you feel it should be written, not as others believe. It is to believe you are creating a work of art, not digging a ditch to specifications. Perhaps it isn't ironic but creative writing may be the only artistic talent creative writers have. Probably most don’t have the talent to paint a good desert landscape for example, fashion a hero out of granite or are good enough to sing on stage. On the other hand, probably few musicians or painters can write. A poet, however, can often write and, conversely, many writers can write poetry... more-so those predisposed to be creative writers however. This is true because of their mutual love for the written word. Yet, it is more than love for the written word... those skillful in creative writing get much of their talent from an unexplained phenomenon. For those of you who don't realize one's subconsciousness can compose even better than one's conscious mind, let me explain. As in the Star Wars movies, it is like letting a ‘force’ take charge. And what is this force? Many writers like to believe, as I do, that the muse (of Greek mythology) are responsible. Actually, no one really knows what transpires but most all writers like the idea of crediting the muse. In other words, since this phenomenon can’t be scientifically explained, and while it should be attributed to something… take your pick. So how does one make it happen? It's a matter of allowing your spiritual-self to take charge but, before that can happen, you must be at peace with yourself first. And distractions, by the way, are a killer. You won't get anywhere with distractions. It is to pour yourself into it, as if nothing else existed. I can’t explain it much better; after all, it's metaphysical. If asked if people prefer reading the works done by creative writers, it would depend on the writer. If their works are overly creative it could turn people off… they (the readers) believing the writer was playing mind-games instead. Generally speaking, if the text is 'conservatively creative', then just about anyone would prefer it over boring text. And, because creative writers put more effort into their work, it is always more interesting and often thought-provoking. A.O. Kime
